Shakla Nakhl / Palm Trees شكلة نخل من غزة

A special bowl, hand-carved with a Palestinian embroidery motif of a Palm Tree (Gaza origin) coloured with dark green and cinnamon brown underglaze. 

The palm tree appears in different forms across Palestinian embroidery. This particular motif comes from Gaza, where date palms have been cultivated for thousands of years and remain deeply connected to the landscape, particularly in Deir al-Balah and Khan Yunis. Valued for their fruit, resilience and ability to grow in difficult conditions, palm trees have long been part of Palestinian agricultural life.

Perfect for serving porridge, soup, or any other favourite meal.

• Fired to 1260°C.
• Finished with a transparent overglaze on the top, making it durable & non-porous. 
• Unglazed at the bottom, revealing the natural clay body & providing a better grip.
