Jajati (My Chicken) 24 cm Dinner Plate

When traditional embroidery is more playful than we often make it out to be. This Jajati, or “my chicken” pattern, is inspired by Palestinian embroidery designs that are part of everyday culture, with a vibrant twist that brings joy to your dining table. This motif originates from the Ramallah region in Palestine. Perfect for serving your favourite meals.

First rooted in the embroidery traditions of Palestine, this playful motif reflects the living language of Tatreez (تطريز), carrying the stories of our landscape and people into every stitch. .

Ram Allah translates from Arabic to mean “hill of God,” a fitting name for this mountainous village known for its stone homes, olive trees, and summer breezes.

This collection honours farmers and everyday rural life, including my maternal grandmother in the Galilee, who had free-range chickens roaming her garden, living a simple but very joyful life.

Dimensions: 24 cm diameter / 2 cm height

Dishwasher and microwave safe. Hand wash recommended.

Hand-built using beige stoneware and coated with three layers of transparent, lead-free glaze, making it 100% food safe and kitchen friendly. The chicken motif is hand-painted in brown.

Fired to 1260°C, making it strong, durable, and non-porous. The base is left unglazed for stability, helping it grip surfaces and stay steady on your table.
