Join this special 2 day workshop to make your own coffee mug and stroopwaffel or cookie saucer, from scratch!
This handbuilding workshop is run across two sessions: during the first session you will be introduced to the material of clay, from start to finish, learning tips and techniques for three different ways of working with clay: coiling, pinching and rolling slabs. By the end of this session, you'll have one mug and one small saucer ready for the first firing!
The second session is focused on colouring the two pieces so they are ready for the last firing. We’ll learn about the applications of different kinds of glazes, underglazes, and how to decorate with unique patterns and drawings. We will also learn about the firing process, which is one of the most magical parts of working with ceramics.
*All our glazes (ceramic colours) are 100% food safe and lead free.

What you'll do in the class:
The workshop consists of two session lasting approximately 4.5 hours. You will be guided by one of Turabi's teachers from start to finish to make your unique mug and saucer in the first session, and decorate it using various glazing techniques in the second session. We will then fire your work in the ceramic kiln and you'll be able to pick them up from the studio within 3 weeks.

What should I bring?
No need to bring anything with you! We will provice you with everything you need for this workshop, but you are of course very welcome to bring one or two images to inspire you!
Collection:
Your mug and cookie plate will be ready for collection within two weeks post-workshop. Prefer delivery? We offer shipping to your doorstep for an additional 10 euros. Details will be emailed afterward.
