Large Cypress Tree Bowl

Large serving bowl, hand-built from beige stoneware and hand-carved with 8  embroidery cypress motifs originating from Gaza. Suitable for serving main dishes or salads, and for everyday use in the home.

First seen in Beit Dajan بيت دجان, the cypress tree (شجرة السرو) is one of the most popular embroidery (تطريز) motifs across Palestine. Woven on the fabric in repetitive patterns, horizontally and vertically, there are diverse variations and colors unique to each region. 

30 cm x 30 cm in diameter /  5.5 cm height 

Dishwasher and microwave safe, hand wash recommended.

Coated with three layers of transparent, lead free glaze, making it 100% food safe.
