Ceramic Workshops

Have you been thinking of trying ceramics but never found the right place or time? Celebrate everyday and special moments with a ceramic workshop at Turabi. Whether it’s a birthday gift, a bachelorette gathering, an anniversary, a family reunion, a special date, a team building day, or simply a chance to explore the world of clay, Turabi would love to host you. 

You might want to make a ceramic plant pot, a set of espresso cups, a serving bowl, or a sculptural piece to decorate your home. You might want to discover the magical world of glazing and paint a ceramic mug, bowl or plate, using food safe glazes. 

Workshops can be booked for a minimum of 2 participants or groups of up to 8 participants. Suitable for beginners and those with experience and will be tailored to suit your idea and needs. Includes guidance, firing costs, all materials (clay and glazes), tools, aprons, and snacks and drinks. 

Your pieces will be ready for collection approximately two weeks after the workshop.                              

Ceramic Painting (paint a pre made ceramic piece) – 1.5 hours

Choose from a selection of Turabi’s handmade ready-made mugs, bowls, and plates, and paint your piece using special ceramic glazes. All glazes used at Turabi are 100% food safe, making your finished piece suitable for everyday use, from morning coffee to shared meals.

Duo workshop: €200

Groups of 3–5: €80 per person

Groups of 6–8: €60 per person

Ceramic Making (make your own pieces from scratch) – 4 hours

You will receive a large ball of raw clay and all the necessary tools to create your own piece/s from scratch using various hand-building techniques such as coiling, pinching and slab building. You will also be introduced to various simple decorative techniques. This can be a set of espresso cups, a small vase, a bowl or plate or another object you’d like to make. Your pieces will be professionally glazed and fired following the workshop. Please note that this is not a wheel throwing workshop :) 

Duo workshop: €350

Groups of 3–5: €125 per person
