Inspired by the mulberry trees once found in the courtyards and along the fields across Bilad al Sham, this collection draws on the deep-rootedconnection between the land and the people of Palestine. The mulberry tree, with its broad leaves and sweet, dark fruit, has long been a source of nourishment and shade, a gathering place for families, and a symbol of abundance.
This mulberry embroidery motif originates from Beer El-Sabe' (بئر السبع) regionin the Naqab desert in Southern Palestine, known for their geometric motifs and vibrant threads. Traditionally stitched by Bedouin women, these designs carry stories of heritage, identity, and resilience, passed down from one generation to the next.
